The Senior Estimator is a critical member of our management team and a leader within our organization, who will maintain relationships with our key stakeholders, clients and owner representatives.
Reporting to the President & CEO, the Senior Estimator is the primary member of the estimating team responsible for all aspects of the estimating and tendering process.
As Senior Estimator you would be responsible for:
- Supporting our estimating team through the bidding process.
- Reviewing specifications and drawings to determine scope of work.
- Completing detailed quantity take offs including costing of all aspects of the tender.
- Project planning and scheduling for tenders including site logistics and project plans to suit the tender requirements.
- Developing and maintaining work relationships and communication with sub-trades, suppliers, design teams and clients.
- Supporting our Project Managers with negotiation of contracts and project buy outs once tenders have been awarded.
Candidates must have superior communication skills and a demonstrated track record in previous estimating positions with a Commercial Construction Company. At least 10 years of construction industry experience in an estimating position with experience both in estimating and project delivery. Post-secondary education in construction-related disciplines is preferred (Engineering Degree/Technical Diploma).
