Our Estimators are critical members of our project procurement and estimating teams. Working with our key stakeholders (which include clients, owner representatives and subcontractors) are responsible for the pursuit of a variety of construction projects. Our Estimators possess the ability to maintain and manage positive, mutually beneficial working relationships with all stakeholders.
Reporting to the Project Director, the Intermediate Estimator will be part of our estimating team responsible for all aspects of the estimating and tendering process.
As an Intermediate Estimator, you would be responsible for:
- Supporting our estimating team through the bidding process.
- Reviewing specifications and drawings to determine scope of work.
- Completing detailed quantity take offs including costing of all aspects of the tender.
- Project planning and scheduling for tenders including site logistics and project plans to suit the tender requirements.
- Developing and maintaining work relationships and communication with sub-trades, suppliers, design teams and clients.
- Supporting our Project Managers with negotiation of contracts and project buy-outs once tenders have been awarded.
Candidates must have superior communication skills and a demonstrated track record in previous estimating positions with a Commercial Construction Company. At least 5 years of construction industry experience in an estimating or project management position with experience both in estimating and project delivery. Post-secondary education in construction-related disciplines is preferred (Engineering Degree/Technical Diploma).
