The Village of Liberty is now accepting applications for the part time position of Public Works Maintenance Operator. This position is deemed permanent and will work directly under the direction of the Council and Administrator.
Duties include but are not restricted to:
-To perform the maintenance and operation of the municipal water and sewer infrastructures such as underground lines, pump house, lagoon and water treatment plant;
-To perform the maintenance and operation of municipal road systems, including graveling, grading, and snow removal;
-To perform the development and maintenance of landscaped areas within the municipality including grass mowing;
-To perform the operation of Village garbage pickup and maintain garbage collection site;
-To assist with such duties as may be prescribed by the Village Council and/or Village Administrator.
Applicant shall possess a valid Class 5 driver licence. Experience in the operation, repair and maintenance of machinery and equipment would be an asset. Applicant shall be willing to take the necessary training and obtain the Operator Certification for Water Treatment and Distribution and Waste Water Collection and Treatment along with the various safe equipment operator courses. Training will be provided.
