Vickis on One Family Restaurant is looking to hire for the following positions:
(2) Kitchen helpers; (2) Food and Beverage Servers
Hour for 30 to 40 Hours / Week
We welcome: Youth, Visible minorities, Indigenous peoples , Newcomers to Canada
Terms of employment: Permanent, Full time
Start date: As soon as possible
Employment conditions: Morning, Evening, Shift, Weekend, Flexible hours
Job requirements
Standing for extended periods, Fast-paced environment, Physically demanding, Repetitive tasks, Handling heavy loads
Must speak functional English
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Sanitize and wash dishes and other items by hand, Scour pots and pans, Clean and sanitize items such as dishwasher mats, carts and waste disposal units, Operate dishwashers to wash dishes, glassware and flatware, Place dishes in storage area, Clean and sanitize kitchen including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances and equipment, Receive, unpack and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards and other storage areas, Handle and store cleaning products, Sharpen kitchen knives, Sweep, mop, wash and polish floors, Wash, peel and cut vegetables and fruit, Remove kitchen garbage and trash
Food and Server
Prepare and serve specialty food at customers' tables, Present bills to customers and accept payment in cash, credit or debit cards, Describe menu items including daily specials for customers, Advise on menu selections, Greet patrons, present menus, make recommendations and answer questions regarding food and beverages, Take orders and relay to kitchen and bar staff, Serve food and beverages.
