Description

The Saskatchewan Association for Community Living (SACL) is a vibrant non-profit providing support and advocacy for people living with intellectual disabilities and their families. Our vision is that all individuals are valued, supported and included in all aspects of life. The SACL is seeking a Self-Directed Funding (SDF) Facilitator to work with individuals and families interested in accessing the SDF option. Key Responsibilities:
Individual Engagement
    Educate individuals about the SDF model and processes.
    Guide interested parties through the SDF process.
    Assist in developing person centred plans.
    Provide access and information about necessary services, supports and resources that may be necessary to supplement SDF.
    Provide ongoing support and follow up to families that have accessed SDF as required.
Community Engagement
    Provide public education about SDF.
    Working with Community Based Organizations, Government and other stakeholders.
Policy and Process Design
    Provide ongoing feedback and evaluation regarding the option to government.
Qualifications
Experience working with individuals living with intellectual disabilities.
University degree in the social sciences or humanities such as a social work or human justice degree.
Understanding of best practices in inclusion and person-centred services.
Must be able to travel, as this position is provincial in scope.
