Overview
The Saskatchewan Research Councils (SRC) Mining and Minerals Division has an opening for an intermediate level Industrial Engineer.
Accountabilities
Provide machine design and small structural design services
Work with a team of engineers and consultants from industry to deliver services that provide operational benefits related to materials processing
Execute engineering analysis and design related to equipment remediation, reliability improvements and equipment performance management
Assist in the scoping of engineering services required to provide operational benefits for clients
Assist in the development of proposals and assessment of client needs
Qualifications
Degree in mechanical or industrial engineering
P.Eng. status and permission to consult in Saskatchewan
Minimum of 10 years of engineering experience related to the mining sector
Experience designing steel structures and machines
Skills
Strong engineering design skills
Maintenance engineering and reliability engineering experience
Good knowledge of mineral processing equipment, milling, material handling systems and piping systems
Strong engineering analysis capabilities related to machine design, structures, tanks and vessels
Experience with SolidWorks
Skills such as weld design, vibration analysis, failure analysis, stress analysis, machine automation or other areas of specialization may be considered an asset
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.)
- Registration as a Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) by a provincial or territorial association
