The Facilities Team at Saskatoon Public Schools requires a skilled and talented Manager of Contract Services. This person will plan and supervise new school projects, major and minor renovations and additions, including the annual relocation of portable classrooms, as well as a range of significant, prioritized repair and replacement projects. The Manager will assist with the development and expenditure of annual facilities operating and capital budgets as approved by the Board of Trustees, in association with the Superintendent of Facilities.
Candidates must have a good working knowledge of current construction practices, including working drawing production and construction inspections, as well as specifications, contracts and consultant agreements. Strong team leadership skills, a creative problem solving attitude and a consistent focus on timely communication and customer service are other important requirements of this position.
