Morris Industries is a worldwide manufacturer and distributor of air seeding, tillage and hay hauling equipment.

We are currently recruiting for a Director of Human Resources to join our manufacturing plant in Yorkton, SK or our head office in Saskatoon, SK.

Director of Human Resources Job Responsibilities:

The Director of Human Resources, as a part of the corporate service group, plays a pivotal role in designing, executing, and measuring the effectiveness of the Human Resource Management System including: identifying issues, forming hypotheses, and synthesizing conclusions into recommendations. As a Director, this individual is responsible for all HR processes and procedures including: recruitment, selection, retention, induction, compliance and policies, performance management, training, and development. The Director of Human Resources must fully comprehend the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the Retail, Wholesale and Department Store Union, Local 955 and Morris Industries

Director of Human Resources Skills and Qualifications:

A graduate of a Human Resource Management program from a university or technical institute or relevant experience. A minimum of Seven (7) years of progressive HR Leadership in manufacturing, or similar industry, with multi-site HR leadership experience and as a member of a Business Leadership team is required. Knowledge of employment law, labor relations regulations, Workers Compensation, collective bargaining, arbitrations, mediation and collective agreements. Critical personal characteristics and skills include excellent judgment, maturity, passion, courage and leadership would be crucial to success for this position. Experience in the business improvement and performance management skills with strong knowledge of business and management principles including: budgeting, planning, continuous improvement, resource allocation and human resources is highly desirable.
