The main objectives of the technician are to inspect, maintain, repair and install extinguishers for customers and contribute to the fire services business development and maintain good relations with existing customers.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Inspect, maintain, repair, and install portable fire extinguishers, air cylinders, fire hoses and other equipment
Track parts inventory
Develop good relations with customers and seek out a wide range of growth opportunities
Keep your vehicle and service equipment well-maintained
Prepare quotes and write various reports
Offer customer service according to the companys expectations
Ensure to work safely and apply health and safety standards
Contribute to team efforts by performing any other related tasks
REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or diploma of college studies in fire prevention, mechanics or equivalent
- 1-2 years experience in a similar position or any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills, and abilities
- Strong mechanical background required (automotive, pneumatic, HVAC, etc)
- Ability to read plans, basic knowledge and ability in electricity and / or mechanics
- Bondable
- Computer literate, very good knowledge of MS Office
- Valid drivers licence with clean drivers abstract
- Able to work underground
- Mobility for travelling in Saskatchewan
- Working knowledge of the NFPA and basic knowledge of fire safety standards and products
- Kidde, Ansul, Firetrace product knowledge as well as working knowledge of inspections and installation
