Summary of Duties:
Reporting to the Manager, Custodial Services, the Custodian is responsible for maintaining the interior and exterior of the buildings and their surrounding grounds. Keep building and grounds in clean and orderly condition. Perform heavy cleaning duties, such as cleaning floors, washing walls and glass, and removing rubbish. Physical capability to do the work, including, but not limited to reaching, standing, walking, crawling, squatting, kneeling, bending, pushing, carrying, lifting up to 50 lbs. and occasionally required to work in dusty environments.

Education and Experience:
Successful completion of Grade 12 or equivalent is preferred.
Previous experience working with chemicals and janitorial machinery preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of WHMIS program and Occupational Health and Safety Standards.
Knowledge of working with chemicals and janitorial machinery
Ability to follow directions and work with minimum supervision.
Experience operating a sweeper burnisher and carpet extractor is preferred
