Department: Fitness
Direct Supervisor: Directors of Health & Fitness
Position Start Date: Immediate
Salary Range: $11.36 per hour plus commission
Hours: 30 hours per week
Responsibilities:
Develop and deliver group and personal training programs and sessions
Lead fitness classes, equipment orientations, new members consultations and welcome calls
Facility tours
Provide CPT-CPATH assessments (if certified CPT-CSEP)
Develop positive relationships with members
Assist to provide a clean and convenient facility for all members and guests
Work at All YMCA locations
Other tasks as assigned by supervisor
Requirements:
Personal Trainer Certification (i.e. CSEP, NSCA, etc)
Post secondary degree is an asset; preferably Physical Education, Kinesiology, Recreation or related field
Group Fitness Certification an asset
NCCP FMS Certification is an Asset
Experience working with childrens sport/activity programs an asset
Good communication skills and strong interpersonal skills
Flexibility regarding assigned working hours, including evenings and weekends
Original Criminal record check dated within 3 months of hire (must include the Vulnerable Sector)
Current Standard First Aid/CPR
Reliable Transportation
