Summary of Duties

Reporting to the Director, Mosaic Stadium the Facility Engineer conducts semi-skilled manual maintenance and inspection work on heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) system in various buildings operated by Evraz Place and soon to be operating Mosaic Stadium.  The facility event engineer will work with considerable independence and must exercise discretion at times, as in the case of deciding whether or not to shut down a boiler during an emergency. Unusual situations are referred to a supervisor, who also makes visual inspections of the incumbents regular work.  Will be responsible for completing or overseeing a variety of assignments to carry out the construction, remodeling, renovation, and maintenance of buildings and facilities.

Education and Experience
Firemans Certificate is required;
Preference will be given to candidates that also bring one of the following certificates: 5th class Power Engineers Certificate; Refrigeration Engineers Certificate; Refrigeration Plant Operators certificate
Eminent level of technical competence in sustaining electrical and mechanical systems
Two years of experience in building construction or an equivalent combination of training, education, and experience
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Valid Drivers License
Knowledge of operations, services, and activities of a facilities maintenance program; principles and practices of employee supervision, training, and performance evaluation; construction methods and practices; tools, materials, methods, and procedures used in building maintenance and repair; basic purchasing methods and practices, Provincial, and local laws, ordinances, and regulations pertaining to the building industry and safety practices; basic math to determine materials used and estimate the cost of projects.
