Tasks/Responsibilities
Talent Management
Adheres to established recruitment and selection procedures and practices that focuses on quality and efficiency.
HR Advisory Service
Collaborates with business leaders to provide a complete range of human resources consultative services to achieve corporate goals in an effective and efficient manner
Advocates employee communications processes that inform employees, as well as to assure two way communications between employees and management.
Employee Engagement
Leads and guides staff in monthly employee engagement initiatives, from fundraising to employee appreciation programs
Compliance Management
Creates, develops, implements, and updates company policies and procedures as required
Performance Management
Administers an effective performance management program
HR Reporting
Tracks, compiles and generates the monthly HR Activity Report, annual Exit Interview Summary, quarterly Turnover Report and Salary Report, year-end Vacation Reports, Absenteeism Reports etc. on an ongoing basis for distribution to senior management
Education/Experience
Bachelor Degree in Business Administration or Human Resources, from an accredited university with 5+ years of experience in HR generalist/management role. CPHR designation preferred.
OR
A recognized diploma with 10+ years of progressively responsible HR experience in a manufacturing, construction, and/or retail environment will be an asset.
Knowledge of several human resources related areas, such as, Employment Standards, Human Rights, Compensation, Occupational Health and Safety, Employee Benefits, Disability Management, Performance Management, Adult Learning, etc.
Knowledge of payroll and related accounting functions
Collaborative and customer-focused professional with the ability to develop strong relationships at all levels of the organization.
