Our client is a boutique Saskatchewan based special crops export company. Licensed by the Canadian Grain Commission our client is a rapidly growing player in the industry with a focus on bridging the gap between Canadian farmers and the Asian Region.
JOB FUNCTION
As our client continues to grow and expand its operations in North America and in Asia, managing the logistics in the region and globally has become a priority. Our client is looking for a driven self-starter who will work closely with the Supply Chain team to coordinate and manage inventory of Canadian sourced commodities that will find the way across the pacific using various modes of transportation.
JOB RESPONSIBLITIES
-Coordinating the inland logistics of commodities (CP, CN, P&D, source load, transload, trucking and ocean freight);
-Scheduling and keeping track of shipping schedules;
-Ensuring that documentation with suppliers complies with all industry rules and regulations;
-Facilitating the transfer of commodities between different modes of transport;
-Managing outbound ocean container shipments;
-Management of inventory that is in transit;
-Analyze efficiency of current supply chain and make recommendations to increase profitability
-Relationship management with current and new logistics partners;
-Working closely with local team to ensure that all goals and strategies are aligned;
-Periodic travel required within Canada;
- Occasional travel required internationally.
