Facility: SASKATOON CITY HOSPITAL
Job Description: Under the direction of the Manager Interprofessional Practice, the Staff Occupational Therapist provides assessment and treatment to those patients referred to the assigned service areas.  The Staff Occupational Therapist will direct, guide and evaluate Occupational Therapy students.
Required Qualifications

Basic Life Support (BLS)
Bachelor Degree in Occupational Therapy
Registered or eligible for registration with the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapy
Registered or eligible for registration with the Saskatchewan Society of Occupational Therapists
Experience
Preference will be given to applicants with experience working with adults with neurological diagnoses.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Preference for this position will be given to HSAS members in accordance with the terms and conditions of the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement. First preference will be given to employees of the Saskatoon Health Region and its affiliated agencies

1.Requires initiative and judgement to plan, implement and modify treatment programs according to client and program needs
2. Must be able to plan, organize , coordinate efforts and effectively communicate within an interprofessional team
3. Resourcefulness, ability to work independently and in collaboration with others.
4. Requires coping skills to work with clients experiencing stress, role loss and other psychosocial issues
5.Requires concentration and attention for client/patient assessment, treatment , teaching and report writing
6.Provide support, direction and supervision to support staff
