Description

We are searching for an experienced Software Solutions Architect who will work with our Software Engineering team and other departments to create state-of-the-art innovative software for integration into client environments.  You will be responsible for providing leadership and technical direction, architecture, design, development and maintenance of IRDs software products and applications deployed to our customers.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Contribute as a designer and developer to lead and assist in the creation of system designs, software architectures and planning for software products
Collaborate with senior software staff, Product Management, Sales, Systems Engineering and other departments to develop new product concepts
Lead/assist in the creation of system designs, software architectures and software product planning
Recommend and implement a discovery and prototyping process
Prepare estimates for the development of new designs and features
Provide technical guidance, project supervision, and mentoring for software developers
Act as a technical expert in software architecture, design, development and testing
Select development tools and processes to help ensure productivity and future readiness

Qualifications:
Minimum Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent
8 years + experience in software architecture, design, development and system design
Experience with real-time systems an asset
Knowledge of software design, selection and deployment techniques and methodologies
Solid working experience of architecting and designing for multiple software projects
Experience in leading and directing technical teams in a global environment including design and development or solution architecture teams
