Summary of Duties:
Reporting to the Manager, Custodial Services the Custodian is responsible for maintaining the interior and exterior of the buildings and surrounding grounds and to ensure that the building and grounds are clean and in orderly condition. Other functions include: perform heavy cleaning duties (such as cleaning floors, washing walls and glass and remove rubbish.)

Education and Experience:
    Successful completion of Grade 12 or equivalent is preferred.
    Previous experience working with chemicals and janitorial machinery preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
    Knowledge of WHMIS program and Occupational Health and Safety Standards.
    Knowledge of working with chemicals and janitorial machinery.
    Ability to physically perform the work which includes but not limited to reaching, standing, walking, crawling, squatting, kneeling, bending, pushing, carrying, lifting up to 50 lbs. Occasionally required to work in dusty environments.
    Ability to follow directions and work with minimum supervision.
    
HOURS OF WORK
