Key Tasks:
Working safely in a mining environment and able to follow the procedures and policies that are in place.
Operate mining equipment and support mining machine operation through manual labour, including: adding and reclaiming hardware, hanging cables, installing line brattice for ventilation and setting up the drive and cluster for the extensible belt.
Ultimate goal is to train the workers to operate either Borers or Drum cutters.
Play a critical role not only ensuring your own safety, but also the safety of others. You will have direct accountability for ensuring familiarity and demonstrating the
Commitment to Zero policy, leading with a safety mindset and modeling the 3 Safety Principles, modeling the 10 Tenets of Operation and having your own personal safety action plan.

Willingness to learn and progress to Journeyman Mining Operator.
Qualifications:
High School diploma or GED.
7+ years of experience (preferably in heavy labour and/or equipment operation).
Supervisory experience and leadership skills would be an asset.
