Description

Horizon is currently recruiting for a Drafting (CAD) Support Technician. The qualified candidate is required to work in the Saskatoon office to provide computer aided drafting (CAD) support related to distribution system projects.

Duties may include, but are not limited to:
- The creation of 2D and 3D drawings using AutoCAD Map 3D, and CADWorx while following corporate standards
- The updating of drawings to maintain existing mapping product
- The creation of Approved For Construction (AFC) drawings for new facilities
- The creation of piping mechanical drawings
Participate in the implementation of a new Corporate GIS, using ESRI software
- Assist in the development and maintenance of CAD standards, procedures, and specifications
Participate in meetings related to work load, deadlines, and specific project expectations

Mandatory Requirements:
- Engineering Technology diploma from an accredited institution in one of the following disciplines: CAD, Geomatics & Survey, Mechanical, Civil, Electrical
- Relevant experience with CAD software in the following fields:
AutoDesk software; specify which software, and hours per day usage
GIS and GPS Survey Data; specify experience in working with survey data points with CAD or GIS software, which program used, and hours per day usage
Databases; specify programming skills and database entry, which software program used, and hours per day usage
3D modelling software; specify experience in working with 3D modeling software, which program used, and hours per day usage
- Valid Class 5 Drivers License
