Applications are invited from qualified individuals for a tenure-track faculty position at the level of Assistant/Associate/Full Professor in Small Animal Surgery with the Department of Small Animal Clinical Sciences. The anticipated start date is August 1, 2018. Candidates must have a DVM or equivalent, ACVS board certification or completion of an ACVS approved residency and must be licensed or eligible for licensure by the SVMA. The successful candidate will contribute to the formation of a dynamic surgery service and teach in the Veterinary Medical Centre. Quality instruction of undergraduate and graduate veterinary students is required. Scholarly activity and development of a clinical research program in collaboration with other faculty will be encouraged and expected. Extensive opportunities for collaborative research exist within the College and the University (Colleges of Medicine, Pharmacy and Nutrition, Dentistry, Engineering, Kinesiology, Saskatoon Cancer Centre, School of Physiotherapy and the Canadian Light Source and Fedoruk Centre of Nuclear Innovation).
Salary bands for this position are as follows:
Assistant Professor: $93,293 to $112,109; Associate Professor: $112,109 to $130,925; and Professor $130,925 to $152,877.
