Were looking for someone to spearhead the development of a product planning department at Brandt.    The Manager of Product Planning has a unique, ground floor opportunity to help articulate and shape the vision for what Brandt sells in each market and what features and benefits are in our products that deliver value to the customer.
Duties:
    Recruit and manage the product planning team
    Overall product portfolio responsibility for Brandts manufactured products
    Develop and maintain a framework for evaluating our product lines
    Develop and maintain a framework for engaging with our customers and dealers to understand their wants, needs, problems, image, understanding, etc. as it relates to our product lines
    Work across the company with sales, manufacturing, advertising, branding, e-business, product support, finance, etc. to ensure that all departments are aligned with the needs of the customer and the ongoing programs for new products.
Qualifications:
We want a candidate who has experience developing and articulating a product development strategy for a manufacturing company.  The ideal candidate can come from a variety of backgrounds and will have:
    Passion for equipment and learning how customers use it
    Experience in sales, design, customer support or manufacturing
    Excellent organization & communication skills  written and verbal
    Ability to work at all levels and departments
    Understanding of business and product financial metrics
    Ability to travel 1 week per month if needed
    Engineering or business degree is an asset but not required.
