Townfolio is an award-winning, web-based SaaS solution built for governments. We are chucking out bulky PDF community profiles and replacing them with digital, interactive, and beautiful software - all in the vein of delighting economic developers and businesses everywhere!
And guess what? We're looking to hire you! We are looking for a sharp, team player, and downright awesome individual to join our startup team in Saskatoon as a Senior Software Developer. We are not an ordinary company, so we don't expect you to be either. If you love developing software from scratch, annihilating bugs with speed, and improving our existing product - keep on reading!
On any given day, you will be expected to:
- Ideate on how to improve existing products
- Build upon our community profile software to achieve economies of scale, improving on processes, data collection methods, and fixing bugs that constantly appear
- Managing a comprehensive database of municipal data for our clients
- Assist with incoming customer questions regarding the software and products, or addressing any concerns he/she may have
- Stay on top of the latest technologies and make platform upgrades where appropriate
Some technical qualifications required:
- We are not looking for a ComSci degree, but you need to be particularly talented in the languages Townfolio is built on:
- Experience in object-oriented programming, preferably PHP 7+
- Experience in server-side software development (Laravel)
- Experience with front end technologies such as javascript (VueJS) and CSS
- Experience working with command line interfaces
- MariaDB (MySQL) experience
- Excellent communication skills, but particularly able to communicate technical feasibility and challenges with internal business team
