Description

David Aplin Group has partnered with our client, one of Saskatchewans most progressive commercial, industrial, retail and land sector developers to recruit for a Financial Administrator to support their innovative, dynamic and client focused property management and development business.  

The Role:

Accounting duties

Timely processing of supplier invoices
Managing and maintaining vendor information
Filing and maintaining invoices and purchase orders
Communicating with vendors regarding resolution of invoice discrepancies
Entering invoices into Timberline (in-house accounting software) and printing cheques  
Reconciling vendor statements and Workers Compensation
Reconciling and entering credit card statements
Filing invoices, payment receipts and cheques  
Entering and maintaining accounting books for personal rentals
Assisting the Commercial CFO with accounting entries, insurance and month end reporting etc.

Administrative duties

Answer and direct phone calls, take and disseminate messages
Photocopying, faxing, typing, filing, mail distribution, monitoring and ordering office supplies
Creating POs and attaching POs to corresponding invoices
Managing and supporting meetings/special events
Coordinating with outside contractors and consultants
Operating and maintaining office equipment

The Ideal Candidate:

Effective written and oral communication skills
Strong ability to multitask, set and achieve priorities and meet deadlines
Well organized, high level of accuracy and strong attention to detail
Display a keen sense of initiative, direction, and responsibility and demonstrate a genuine desire to help and work with others
Competency with all facets of Microsoft Office specifically Excel
Experience with Timberline/Sage or Simply Accounting software considered a strong asset
Understanding of and/or experience with the Construction Development Industry also considered an asset.
