The Western College of Veterinary Medicine seeks applications for a 12 month term (with possibility of extension), full time (willing to consider part-time) Clinical Associate in the Small Animal Wellness & Preventative Medicine service beginning January 1, 2018.
Responsibilities: Provision of quality wellness and preventative care services to client owned cats and dogs in the VMC; commitment to growth and evolution of the Wellness service to provide a strong foundation in wellness and preventative medicine for senior veterinary students; commitment to team-driven service delivery with other Wellness veterinarians and RVT; fostering a collaborative, multidisciplinary collegial approach to case management within the complex environment of the VMC.
Qualifications: DVM (or equivalent); eligible for licensure within the province of Saskatchewan; clinical experience in private practice or academic primary care setting.
Required Skills: Strong skills in thorough history and physical examination; excellent communication and interpersonal skills; dedication to and excellence in clinical teaching; initiative and effective leadership in maintaining a successful, team-oriented Wellness service; ability to mentor students in their development of efficient practice; effective time management and strong organization skills.
Salary range: $61,618 to $96,279; salary will be commensurate with education and experience.
