Role:
The EHS Leader will be responsible for ensuring compliance with Sysco's corporate vision for Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) commitments, goals and approaches by implementing Sysco's EHS program. Maintain excellent relationships with front line workers and all levels of management to support corporate, regional and operating company (OpCo) business objectives. Implement the overall EHS process including: environmental, occupational health and safety, workers' compensation, fleet safety, contractors, and transportation compliance through a team of National Director, Regional EHS Managers, local EHS Leaders and Ability Managers.
Role Responsibilities:
- Assist with the development, implementation and maintenance of an EHS management system:
- Perform hazard assessments and complete reports
- Develop and present site-specific training programs
- Conduct internal site audits, develop reports and maintain records
- Support external audits and progression of corrective action compliance
- Assist in the development of standardized safety systems, policies, training, safety campaigns and programs to prevent injury and ensure compliance with Federal, Provincial and municipal laws
- Align with Sysco Corporation to implement the corporate EHS strategy
- Design safety methods to motivate and influence the creation of a world class safety culture
- Implement standardized, actionable safety metrics and communication protocol to leadership teams to drive safety improvement
