Child Caregiver required in Saskatoon for one special-needs child age 11.
Duties include; Supervise and care for child, use developmentally appropriate activities. Implement program learning plan, basic/routine personal care, assume full responsibility for household and safety, take child to outings as required. Child has severe autism, ADHD, mood disorder and seizure disorder. He has a feeding tube and cecostomy tube for feeds and medication administration, therefore very specialized care is required. Perfect written and verbal English is essential to ensure his safety with medical aspects of this job. Experience working with similar children and/or related education strongly preferred.
Completion of high school and a minimum of one year experience is required. Police security check and First Aid course needed. Public transportation is available and we live in an urban area. Optional private accommodations available at no cost, however this is NOT a condition of employment. Closest intersection is Taylor Street East and Arlington Avenue. Anticipated start date is as soon as possible.
