Description

Brandt is currently seeking a Director of Construction for our 302 Mill Street location. As part of our commitment to deliver more value to our customers, as well as to meet our internal needs with facility renovations and additions, we are expanding our Site Services and Construction Department.  Responsibilities and duties include:
    Staff, mentor and lead the Site Services Team, including annual budgets, goals and performance reviews of managers
    Negotiating and administering contracts with general contractors on large projects.  This includes managing documentation, payment, deficiencies, change orders, scope and schedule
    Manage internal labor, procurement and subcontracts for self-performed work
    On all projects, work with design team to ensure projects are on schedule, within standards and ensure good construction drawings and details are being produced
    Ensure that all projects are completed safely
    Ensure that projects are properly planned and efficiently executed
    Develop equipment and resource and personnel plans based on upcoming projects
    Ensure proper equipment and tool usage, maintenance and utilization
    Ensure good equipment and resource utilization
    In conjunction with the sales team and head office staff, develop a marketing plan for the site services group.

Qualifications:
    Minimum of 15 years of commercial & industrial Construction experience as either a Tradesman, Site Superintendent or Project Manager
    Experience on both large (>$5M) and small projects
    Excellent Communication skills - written and verbal
    Microsoft Office, including word, excel and PowerPoint
    Travel, up to 1-2 weeks per month.
