POSITION AND RESPONSIBILITIES

As the sr. planner, maintenance, you will be responsible for leading the Cigar Lake maintenance planning team and help Cigar Lake reach reliability excellence. You will have a strong working knowledge of maintenance planning best practices and of the maintenance work requirements of a mining facility. You will ensure maintenance activities are efficiently scheduled to deliver optimum equipment availability and manpower utilization.

You will lead your team to consistently follow up on completed work and create and modify work plans as needed to improve efficiencies of job execution and equipment reliability.  In addition, you will also be responsible for interpreting key performance indicators and reports to identify opportunities for improvement within the maintenance process.

Education and Qualifications

Requirements of the position:
    Journeyperson certificate or technologist diploma or equivalent
    Minimum of eight years of related experience in an industrial setting
    Previous lead hand or planning experience
    Experience with a computer maintenance management system such as SAP
    Strong written and verbal communication skills
    Team player with strong computer and organizational skills
    Work an irregular rotational schedule (Monday  Thursday) and commute to site by aircraft

Assets:
    Maintenance Management Professional (MMP) certification or similar
    Operational Reliability and/or Six Sigma training
