Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
- Use templates, temporary material, gauging devices, and/or patterns to create material joins.
- Read and follow drawings and blueprints to set up, tack, and weld to produce a quality product.
- Must complete all necessary preparation work including grinding. Torch work may be required.
- Must abide by the company's field safety rules (including wearing PPE) and work with supervisors on performing all tasks in the safest manner.
- Must maintain good housekeeping (safe, clean, and orderly work area).
Qualifications:
- Ticketed welders preferred.
- Millwright experience preferred.
- Must have experience in fabricating, spouting, and structural welding.
- Must have thorough knowledge of welding practices and techniques.
- Must be able to read and work from blue prints/drawings and follow instructions.
- Must be good with hands, alert and analytical.
- Must be willing and able to function as part of a team.
- Applicants who have passed a Construction Safety Training System (CSTS-09) course preferred.
- Must be 18 or older.
- Must possess required tools of the trade.
Typical Physical Demands & Working Conditions:
- Must be able to work at excessive heights, often exceeding 200 ft.
- Must be able to lift up to 70lbs.
- Must have a normal range of hearing and vision.
- Must be able to work in all-weather elements.
Hours: Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 5:30pm. Weekend work and additional daily work may be required.
