Vietnameseroll Restaurant is now looking for a food service supervisor. The candidate must be punctual and motivated. We offer staff discount and paid vacation.
Duties and responsibility
Supervise, co-ordinate and schedule staff who prepare, portion, dispatch and serve food
Estimate and order ingredients and supplies required for meal preparation
Participates in development and delivery of training and performance management, and may participate in staff selection
Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards
Supervise the restaurant while the owner is not available
May plan menus and determine related food and labor costs
Performs other duties as assigned
Requirement
Completion of secondary school is usually required.
Completion of a community college program in food service administration, hotel and restaurant management or related disciplineor1 or more years of experience in food preparation or service are required.
Essential skills
Food safety knowledge, interpersonal skill
Good knowledge of modern methods, materials and appliances used in a mid-scale food preparation and service
Ability to plan work and coordinate activities to meet meal schedules.
Ability to supervise, instruct and give on-the-job training to others, including performance evaluation and disciplinary action recommendations.
