-travel to different truck stops, wash bays, loading and unloading facilities approaching truck drivers with the goal of selling leased operator opportunities
-show company information such as pay rates, sample statements, pictures of equipment
hand out pamphlets
-convince truck owner to work with company using script or persuasive technique
-collect driver name, phone number, truck year/make/model and work experience and develop lead list
-travel by foot and automobile
-circle back and check on truck owners who have not started business with the company
-win back truck owners who may have done business with the company
-develop constructive and cooperative working relationships with others
-tell truck owner why doing business with the company is better than the competitors
-assist with transition to first day
-write up orders for merchandise
