Supreme Steel LP  Saskatoon Division requires a Structural Steel Detailer to join our team.  The successful candidates educational requirements may vary and include a Design/Drafting Certificate or Diploma with 5 to 10 years experience in the industry.  Knowledge with Tekla and AutoCad would also be an asset.  Candidates should demonstrate strong current knowledge of standards, processes, procedures and weld symbols.  The successful candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills using effective time management.  The ability to manage multiple tasks and projects is required.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

    Creating 3D models including wires and connections in Tekla as well as developing detailed shop and erection 2D drawings.
    Working with the Connection Design Engineer to resolve potential shop, fabrication and field fitting issues identified at the detailing stage of the project
    Interpreting and incorporating approval comments, contract changes and other revisions into 3D models and drawings.
    Reviewing and analyzing specifications, drawings and related data to assess factors affecting component designs and the procedures and instructions to be followed.
A competitive hourly wage will be based upon the successful candidates training and experience.  Additional benefits include bonuses based on performance, as well as medical, dental and life insurance benefits after 3 months.  After one year of service a company sponsored self-directed RRSP program and Employee Ownership Program are offered.
