Description

BASIC PURPOSE:  
    To provide Payroll/HR services within the company in the areas of payroll and recruitment
    To provide support to the Payroll/HR team with strategic planning, administration, projects and the development of policies and procedures.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
    Process payroll in an efficient manner meeting required deadlines
    Communicating directly with employees and supervisors in a professional manner
    Represent the company capably with integrity to safeguard its interest in processing vital and confidential information
    Help manage Bourgaults recruitment needs, including job advertising, selection, tracking and reporting
    Schedule and facilitate interviews and conduct pre-employment drug tests and reference checks
    Make job offers and assist with new employee onboarding
    Help manage contract workers
    Organize employee events as part of the Social Committee

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
    Ability to perform accurate work with a high attention to detail
    Degree or diploma in Business or Human Resources is a strong asset.
    Experience in HR administration and recruitment
    Experience with HR in a manufacturing environment is a strong asset.
    Working knowledge of relevant recruitment & retention practices, Labour Standards, Health & Safety, Payroll, and benefits programs
    Strong communication, interpersonal and leadership skills are essential
    Effective organizational and time-management abilities
    Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
    Able to work independently and as part of a team
    Strong computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Excel
