Description

POS Group of Companies provides full-cycle process development services, from laboratory to commercial-scale. We are looking for a Specialist, Logistics and Inventory, who not only has a sense of ownership for the work he/she does, but wants to be part of an exciting and rapidly growing business.
We are looking for a responsible person to perform the following duties:
    Oversees materials management and coordinates physical inventory counts with various departments following Lean principles;
    Communicates the POS supply chain program with suppliers, as needed.
    Implements improvement initiatives to ensure warehouse readiness of supplies on a timely manner.
    Prepare freight quotes and buy freight within established guidelines;
    Prepare and package goods for shipment; unpack received goods and route to appropriate areas.
    Review Project Checklist tasks within ERP daily and update tasks as required
    Direct and oversee loading and unloading of materials; may operate forklift or other equipment to load, unload, transport and store goods.
    Handle dangerous goods, following established protocol, documentation and safety regulations at all times.  
    Ensure the warehouse areas are organized in most efficient manner, kept tidy and inventory is managed on a first in/first out rotation

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
    A Supply Chain Management Professional (SCMP) designation or diploma is preferred.
    Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years related experience within a complex manufacturing environment in a medium to large organization is required.
