Applications are invited for a tenure-track faculty position in Veterinary Anesthesiology at the level of Assistant/Associate Professor in the Department of Small Animal Clinical Sciences. The position is available July 1, 2018. The successful applicant must have a DVM or its equivalent and must be eligible for licensure by Saskatchewan Veterinary Medical Association. Candidates must be a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Anesthesiology and Analgesia (ACVAA) or the European College of Veterinary Anaesthesia and Analgesia (ECVAA) or have credentials acceptable to the ACVAA or ECVAA for Board examination at the time the appointment takes effect. Board certification is required for tenure. An advanced research degree is desirable. Previous academic experience is desirable with an interest and ability to engage in scholarly activities as evidenced by established or developing research initiatives; a strong or emerging research program; demonstrated effective classroom teaching skills and mentorship; and effective interpersonal and communication skills.
Salary bands for this position are as follows: Assistant Professor: $93,293 to $112,109; Associate Professor: $112,109 to $130,925; and Professor $130,925 to $152,877.
