Description

The Saskatchewan Association of Immigrant Settlement and Integration Agencies (SAISIA) is looking to hire an Events Coordinator that will work in collaboration with the Prairie Umbrella Groups including SAISIA, the Alberta Association of Immigrant Serving Agencies (AAISA), and the Manitoba Association of Newcomer Serving Organizations (MANSO).  The Events Coordinator will be responsible for a latitude of event planning and coordination according to the missions, visions and mandates of the Prairie Umbrella Groups, and in alignment with funder requirements. Specifically, this individual will provide leadership in the planning, coordination, and reporting on special events such as annual integration summits and small centre conferences.  The incumbent will be housed at the Saskatchewan Association of Immigrant Settlement and Integration Agencies [SAISIA] office in Saskatoon, and will report to the Executive Director of SAISIA.
Qualifications:
University Degree in related field preferably Marketing, Public or Community Relations.Experience in special events planning including attracting sponsorships, promotion plans, fundraising events, volunteer management, project management. Excellent written & oral interpersonal skills,media relations experience. Problem solving, organizational skills and attention to detail are assets.Experience with facilitating committee meetings.
Strong ability to work cooperatively in a team-oriented, cross-cultural setting.
TRAVEL: Travel throughout Saskatchewan and to Alberta and Manitoba Centres.
