Nature of Work: Reporting to the CME Manager of Administration, the Online Education Specialist will work collaboratively in a team environment to meet the goals and objectives of the Division of Continuing Medical Educations strategic planning and accreditation framework. The work will include building a network of stakeholders within and external to the College of Medicine, and will identify and prioritize events that may be recorded as distance learning opportunities and that contribute to a robust continuing medical education curriculum. This will require building mutually beneficial relationships with other providers, including Faculty Development, Undergraduate Medical Education, Post Graduate Medical Education, Research and others. The role will require following and developing policies and procedures, ensuring adherence to accreditation requirements, following College of Medicine policies and procedures, and recommending and implementing continuous improvement practices. In some cases it will require financial and operational analysis of potential opportunities where internal investment and development will be required, and locating resources to cover development. The work is varied, meetings and program delivery are scheduled to accommodate physicians, other health professionals and stakeholders, including early mornings, midday, evenings and weekends. CME works within a cost-recovery environment and some financial management will be required. This position is located in Saskatoon; occasional travel is necessary as educational events are facilitated throughout Saskatchewan.
