Parkland College is currently seeking a Facilitator for an Essential Skills & Employment Program. This program will take place at Peepeekisis First Nation.
This is a term position from January 2 - March 30, 2018 for a total of 236 hours.
This position will be responsible for developing, coordinating, delivering and facilitating the classroom component of the Essential Skills portion of the Building Your Future, Enriching Your Community Program. The program goal is to help build workforce skills within participants.
Requirements:
-Two-year post-secondary diploma or equivalent in Human or Social Services or Behavioral Sciences field or a journeyperson trade certificate.
-Two years of recent and related experience. This experience would typically provide skills required to provide career information, to effectively liaise with employers or funding agencies and to develop needs based approaches to workshop development and delivery and with Essential Skills programming.
- Knowledge in group facilitation, adult education methodology, and Essential skills
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and public speaking skills
- Demonstrated experience working in a cross-cultural environment
- Demonstrated experience handling sensitive issues
