The Opportunity:
The Co-operators is looking for an Actuarial Assistant or Actuarial Associate, Group Valuation in the Actuarial & Product department located in Regina, SK. This is approximately a 12 month term position.

The role of the Actuarial Assistant/Associate assists in the valuation of the actuarial liabilities and Dynamic Capital Adequacy Testing for the Group Benefits products. This role is a key resource in helping to create the financial projections and in explaining the financial results for Group Benefits.

Your Qualifications:
-Candidates should have a Bachelor of Science or other Bachelors degree in a relevant discipline.
-Candidates should have successfully completed courses in applied and mathematical statistics and actuarial models.
-Candidates must have passed at least two Society of Actuaries exams and be planning to continue writing exams to achieve a Fellow of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries (FCIA) designation.
-Candidates should have strong computer skills, including experience with Excel, and MS-Access. Experience with GGY AXIS and Group Datamart would be considered an asset.
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills are an important part of this role.
