The Yorkton Tribal Council is seeking 1 individual to fill the full time position of CPNP/Brighter Futures Dietitian.
The individual will be responsible but not limited to the following duties:
Work as a member of the Health Education Team to plan/deliver/report/administer and evaluate the following Health Canada programs:
Canada Prenatal Nutrition Program (Pre/Post Natal Support, Healthy Food Choices, Healthy Babies)
Brighter Futures Program (Child Development, Healthy Families, Health Promotion)
Aboriginal Diabetes Initiative Program (Prevention, Education, Management Practices)
Travel to and provide effective, efficient and consistent services to the 6 First Nation communities of Yorkton Tribal Council.
Qualifications:
Must be a Registered Dietitian with the Saskatchewan Dietetics Association or eligible to do so
Understanding of prenatal and postnatal nutrition, childhood nutrition and diabetes
Knowledge of childhood and adult teaching principles with both individuals and groups
Able to work effectively with a variety of clients, families and other health disciplines
Able to work with a team, with self direction and minimal supervision
Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
A valid Drivers License is required and must be maintained during employment
Assets:
Knowledge or experience working with First Nations culture.
Knowledge of technology usage Information Management, Electronic Communications, etc.
