Description

A one year term positon at our Dr. L. M. Hanna Location.

Our facilitator will be able to:

work in collaboration with other Early Years Family Centre facilitators creating a learning rich environment for families including drop-in periods and scheduled sessions with programming partners.
plan, organize and facilitate age appropriate play based learning and sessions for children and parents that reflect the stages of child development including oral language skills, creative expressions, problem solving and emergent literacy and numeracy strategies.
create collaborative working relationships with community partners and integrate their professional expertise into the programming.
coordinate and supervise practicum students when required.
maintain the physical space ensuring appropriate and adequate resources are available.
assist in data collection from participants (collecting questionnaires, facilitating surveys, maintaining attendance records).
provide families with information and linkages or referrals to outside agencies when required.

Provides service in non-judgmental and culturally sensitive manner.
Is accessible, accountable, cordial and responsive in all interactions.  
Presents professionally on behalf of the Early Years Family Centre.

The successful candidate must have an understanding of a child-centered approach to learning and be able to work cooperatively in a team environment.
