The Saskatoon Co-op is looking for a Fertilizer Facility Manager at the Agro Centre. The duties and responsibilities of this position are the following:
To be responsible for the planning and co-ordination of all operational requirements of the facility with focus on customer service and sales.
To oversee and plan appropriate staff recruitment, training, and scheduling to maximize plant efficiency and customer service levels at all times.
Collaborate with the Agronomy Sales Team and Administrative staff to ensure all customer fertility plans are executed within budget guidelines and company credit policy to optimize fertilizer volumes, logistics, and customer opportunities
Facilitate the sale of all products & services offered by the Agro Centre.
Work with Logistics Manager to develop and maintain strong working relationships with key transportation companies to meet logistical and customer service requirements.
To supervise, lead, and direct the daily activities of in scope staff.
To provide information, assistance and service to customers in a manner which will promote the sale of merchandise.
Qualifications:
Extensive knowledge of physical plant management and fertilizer handling
Experience in an agricultural service business environment
Must possess minimum of 2 years of administrative experience.
Must possess a farm background or Ag industry experience with knowledge of crop inputs and agronomy
Must have demonstrated the ability to lead supervise and coordinate others effectively.
Must hold a valid Saskatchewan Drivers License.
Strong computer skills
Post-secondary education preferred.
