This job is equal parts working with volunteers and management of our various media platforms. Please ensure you are able to do both duties before applying.
-Manage & update agency website and social media platforms (facebook, instagram, and twitter)
-Recruit, screen and place prospective volunteers
-Work with other staff to ensure meaningful work for volunteers
-Respond to requests for information about the volunteer program from students, professionals and the general public
-Facilitate programing & events in the drop-in centre for people who access services
-Coordinate volunteers at fundraising and community events
-Personally attend fundraising and community events
-Monitor the work of volunteers and provide them with regular feedback
-Ensure the continuing development and enhancement of volunteer recognition initiatives
-Maintain monthly statistics
-Write & design AIDS Saskatoons Annual Report
-Write & design AIDS Saskatoons information pamphlets when directed by the Education and -Prevention Coordinator
-Ensure AIDS Saskatoon has print materials available for the public
-Ensure maintenance of up-to-date database of volunteers while always respecting confidentiality and abiding by privacy laws
-Be knowledgeable about AIDS Saskatoons Programs and Services
-Represent AIDS Saskatoon in a positive manner in the community
-Report directly to the Education and Prevention Coordinator
-Other duties as assigned
