Description

Youth Program staff work in various YMCA programs building skills in children, youth and teens of all abilities.  The YMCA of Regina has taken on a physical literacy directive, with the goal of equipping Youth with a transferable set of skills to participate confidently and competently in sport and recreation for life.
Responsibilities:
Plan, coordinate and implement fun, challenging activities for Children, Youth and Teens of all abilities in YMCA programs that promote personal development, social development, recreation and health.
Provide a safe and supportive environment for Children, Youth and Teens to grow and develop, through effective supervision, coaching, and mentoring.
Build relationships with all program participants and program families, reflecting the values of the YMCA.
Work in a collaborative team environment in order to achieve program related goals.
Effectively manage and prioritize assigned tasks/duties; problem solve as required.
Cleanliness and housekeeping duties to maintain health and safety of program participants.
Attend and complete trainings as required.
Requirements:
The successful candidate will exhibit a high level of organizational aptitude and creativity.
Strong leadership skills; proven ability to effectively manage groups.
Good communication skills and strong interpersonal skills.
Flexibility regarding assigned working hours, including evenings and weekends.
Read, understand and comply with all YMCA Child Protection policies and procedures.
Original Criminal record check dated within 3 months of hire
Current: Standard First Aid, CPR

 - Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certificate
