Department: Health and Fitness
Direct Supervisor: Director of Health and Fitness
Position Start Date: ASAP
Salary Range:  $11.36/hr + Commission
Benefits:  Life Insurance, Long term disability, Accidental disability, Dental and Extended Health after successful completion of 3 month probation period.  Pension plan will be offered after 2 years of continuous employment.

Responsibilities:
    Develop and deliver group and personal training programs and sessions
    Lead fitness classes, equipment orientations, new members consultations, and facility tours
    Provide CPT-CPATH assessments (if certified CPT-CSEP)
    Develop positive relationships with members
    Assist to provide a clean and convenient facility for all members and guests
    Work at All YMCA locations
    Other tasks as assigned by supervisor


Requirements:

    Personal Trainer Certification (ie CSEP, NSCA, etc)
    Post secondary degree is an asset; preferably Physical Education, Kinesiology, Recreation or related field
    Group Fitness Certification an asset
    Experience working with childrens sport/activity programs an asset
    Good communication skills and strong interpersonal skills
    Flexibility regarding assigned working hours, including evenings and weekends
    Original Criminal record check dated within 3 months of hire
    Current:    Standard First Aid, CPR
