Saskatchewan Health Authority is inviting applications from Adult Psychiatrists for the role of Coordinator of Crisis Psychiatry in the Emergency Department at the Royal University Hospital. This is a full time position however an FTE between .8 and 1.0 can be accommodated. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating emergency crisis services including emergency psychiatry consultations and the rapid access clinic, working with a team of acute care psychiatrists and the mental health transition team. There is also opportunity for inpatient coverage in the 56 bed adult unit. Participation is required in the on-call rota for general adult psychiatry emergency services. The successful applicant will have appointments in both Saskatchewan Health Authority and the University of Saskatchewan and will participate in the educational activities and teaching of the Department with medical students and residents.
Qualifications: Preference will be given to candidates with MD and FRCPC. Consideration will be given to candidates who have a written ruling from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada they are eligible to write the Canadian Royal College Psychiatry Board exams.
