The EVENTS AND FUNDRAISING COORDINATOR is a full-time position responsible for development and coordination of The Bea Fisher Foundation fundraising activities to ensure ongoing financial assistance to The Bea Fisher Centre Inc.
The Essential Functions will include:
Fundraising/Events Planning:
- With the assistance of the CEO and the Board of Directors, develop a multi-year strategy for fundraising.
- Develop a tactical plan and implement the fundraising and events strategy.
- Identify and approach suitable sources of funding.
- Develop and coordinate mass communications and the use of volunteers as needed.
- Coordinate all necessary media and advertising campaigns.
Skills and Abilities:
1. Must possess good organizational and planning skills, meet deadlines and follow-up in a timely manner.
2. Must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and work cooperatively with others.
3. Must be proficient in standard computer application (MS Suite).
4. A knowledge of Canadian non-profit organizations, charitable donation processes, government assistance agencies etc., would be an asset.
5. A strong and comprehensive knowledge in Planned Giving would be a definite asset.
Qualifications:
Bachelor Degree in a related field. Two years experience in fundraising and event planning.
