NLSD #113 invites applications for the position of a temporary full-time

    SUPERINTENDENT OF FACILITIES

Reporting to the Director of Education, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

-    General supervision over the maintenance program for all schools, teacherages, and ancillary facilities under the jurisdiction of the Board

-    Provide for the procurement, management, maintenance, and repair services of all Division buildings, facilities, vehicles, and equipment as well as disposal of said property as required by Board policy and directives

-    Conduct reviews to ensure that federal and provincial regulations are met and that Division policy and directives are initiated

-    Direct and carry out all activities relative to the Divisions capital program.

Position to start February 1, 2018 until December 31, 2018.  The successful candidate must be certifiable in an engineering field and have good communication skills.  Journeyman status in a construction trade as well as an ability to communicate in Cree or Dene would be a definite asset.  The ideal candidate will demonstrate, through previous work history, experience in supervising a large staff; budget preparation; writing proposals for capital projects and effectively administering capital projects.

Northern Lights School Division is located throughout the northern half of Saskatchewan.  The Division is comprised of 4,164 students, 725 staff and 22 schools.  Extensive travel is required for this position.
