Greet patrons, present menus, make recommendations and answer questions regarding food and beverages, Take orders and relay to kitchen and bar staff, Recommend wines that complement patrons' meals, Serve food and beverages, Prepare and serve specialty foods at patrons' tables, Present bill to patrons and accept payment, May order and maintain inventory of wines and wine glassware,May perform sensory evaluation of wines.
Food and Beverage Serving Skills
- Advise on menu selections
- Serve food and beverages, formal or French service
- Serve food and beverages, general plate service
- Present bills to customers and accept payment in cash, credit or debit cards, travellers cheques or room billings
- Prepare and serve flambes and other specialties at customers' tables
- Describe menu items including daily specials for customers
Wine and Stewarding/Serving Skills
- Present, open, pour and serve wine in appropriate wine glassware
- Order and maintain inventory of wines and wine glassware
