Description

The Town of Grenfell is currently accepting resumes for a full-time Chief Administrative Officer to cover a maternity leave with a start date by March 12, 2018. This will be at least a one year term position. Although preference is for a full-time CAO, Council is willing to consider a more flexible schedule for the right candidate.

A south east Saskatchewan community of approximately 1400 people (Sask Health Covered Population), Grenfell is a safe, active and growing community that is close to the City of Regina with the benefit of being away from the hustle and bustle. With a prime location at the intersection of the Trans-Canada Highway and Highway #47, Grenfell is a local hub of activity with a wide range of business, service and recreational amenities, and is close to many lakes and the QuAppelle valley.

Ideally you are a motivated leader who is comfortable working within a policy governance environment, are experienced in a senior management role within a complex and diverse organization and are an effective communicator with technical skills in municipal administration.

The future focused Council is looking for candidates with a Standard or Class C Saskatchewan Municipal certificate or equivalent, combined with post-secondary education in Public Administration or a related field with a specialization and/or direct experience in municipal government administration. Experience in planning and development management and municipal accounting is an asset. Council is prepared to compensate the right candidate with a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefit package.
